The University of Pittsburgh Small Business Development Center holds SBIR/STTR educational programs several times a year covering topics from identifying solicitations to completing and submitting a proposal. Get more information or register to attend our next program.
Measurable Results
The Pitt SBDC has a historic win rate of 31 percent among the businesses and innovators to whom we provided SBIR/STTR proposal support. This is more than twice the national average. We have worked with more than 100 early stage technology companies submitting proposals and helped raise more than $20 million in SBIR/STTR funds for our region's innovators.
In 2008, the Pitt SBDC:
- Raised approximately $4 million in SBIR/STTR funds.
- Assisted companies in raising an additional $10 million in funding through federal procurement opportunities that were direct results of their SBIR success.
We hope the resources and information accessible through the links above will help you learn more about this important federal program for science and technology innovations. Contact the Pitt SBDC today to learn how we can help you access funding for your technology or science innovation.
